Sherman Street Email Lists

Every Friday the church office sends out an email containing important announcements. We also send out periodic updates from the council or other committees.

Prayer Chain emails are sent out when there's a matter for prayer. Our desire is to have all members and regular attenders receive email prayer requests so that needs, joys and sorrows will be lifted in prayer by the entire worshiping community.

Online Giving

To donate to the ministries of Sherman Street Church, use our online donation form. Consider the "Give Multiple Times" option to automate your donations via ACH (e.g. weekly, monthly). This consistent giving will help us plan ministry more effectively. To update your recurring donations at any time, just use the "Sign In" option on the donation form.

Pastoring Elders and Service Deacons

Pastoring Elders minister to members of the congregation through home visits, district social events, and other personal contacts. They also offer pastoral care for members who are sick or shut-in, or to those who have been separated from the church community. In addition, they participate in regular ministry to the whole church community related to worship (e.g. administering the Lord’s Supper or praying the Prayer of God’s People) and active interest and care for the ongoing life and ministry of the church.

Administrative Elders and Deacons

Administrative Elders and Deacons take greater responsibility for the “governance” of the church, ministering through leadership in meetings of the Administrative Council, as well as through many other tasks that accompany the administrative role. Additionally, they participate with the Pastoring Elders and Deacons in regular ministry to the whole church community through leadership in worship and through an active interest and care for the ongoing life and ministry of the church.
