Sherman Street Church isn’t a building—we’re a community of people who want to know, love, and serve Jesus in all parts of our lives.​

Our mission is simple: ​To be a living testimony of God’s grace and justice in the city.

We hope that our words and actions will point people to a loving God who is on the move right here in Grand Rapids and around the globe.

We’re part of the Baxter neighborhood.​

​Sherman Street Church has been located in the Baxter neighborhood of Grand Rapids for more than 100 years (here’s more about our history if you’re interested). We’re committed to this place, and many of our members live nearby.​

We’re authentic and inclusive.

Maybe that's because we believe we can bring our whole selves to church - not just the best parts, and we strive for unity over uniformity.
