Welcome to Sherman Street Church!

As part of our mission to be a living testimony of God's grace and justice in our city, we at Sherman Street Christian Reformed Church seek to be a congregation that affirms and invites all into the life and fellowship of the church, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, marital status, physical or mental ability, age, or economic status. You are loved and welcome here. (Read our full statement of inclusion here.)
We worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30am EST. Please join us! If you would like to join virtually, we also offer the services via Zoom livestream. (If you missed a service, email the office for the link to the recording.) You can find sermon podcasts here.
Season of Lent
As is our practice, we will celebrate weekly communion throughout Lent. Pastors Tony & Jen will also be preaching on various aspects of Communion. What exactly are we doing when we take the bread and the wine? What is God doing in that moment? What does communion say about God? What does it say about the church? What’s all this business about eating and drinking judgment on yourself? We will explore these questions during this season.
The Prayer Action Team has compiled a list of resources on prayer. These can be checked out from the church library. |
